About hukka

Gabu from Arashi no Yoru Ni

Hello. I'm hukka, and this is my website. hukka isn't my actual, real-life name, but rather a nickname that I prefer to use both online and offline. (It's a Finnish word for 'wolf'. I like them, especially the fictional variety that can talk, which technically makes me a furry.)

There are others using the name "Hukka" too – the distinguishing factor is that I like to use lowercase letters to spell my name. Humor me, I just think it looks better that way.

I'm a male living in Salo, southern Finland. I was born on the 19th of January in 1983. My personality type appears to be INFP.

One of the things that matter to me the most is music. I began composing music with MED and ProTracker on my Amiga 500 when I was about 11 years old. Later I bought a used Yamaha CS1x synth in 1998 and a PC soon after that.
On the software side, I nowadays mostly use Ableton Live with VST instruments, although I am still rather fond of good old Impulse Tracker too. I also do C-64 SIDs on GoatTracker.

Another interest of mine is programming. I first learned a tiny bit of BASIC on the Commodore VIC-20 and C-64 when I was a kid, then got an Amiga and learned AMOS Basic as well as some very basics of the C language. In 1999 I got my first proper PC, and learned further C, as well as my current language of choice, Delphi. I also know PHP and a bit of 6502/6510 assembly on the old Commodores.
