About

RenamExt is a freeware "context menu shell extension" for Windows 95 and newer. RenamExt is a new submenu for the Windows Explorer context menu. You can select one or more files in Windows Explorer and when you right-click to display the context menu, you'll see RenamExt as a new submenu there. RenamExt allows for some often needed, more or less useful functions for renaming files. These are:

Once downloaded and extracted to a folder, run "enable.exe" to register the extension with Windows. (This may falsely report a failure, even if it didn't fail. I'll fix it later.) If you want to stop using RenamExt, just run "disable.bat".

RenamExt should work in all versions of Windows, starting from Windows 95. It has been tested on Windows 95 (FIN), Windows XP (ENG) and Windows 2000+SP3 (ENG).
